   ABSTRACT
Title: A Model of Parental Enhancement in Educational Participation

The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop a model for enhancing parents in educational participation, and 2) to present the model for enhancing parents in educational participation focusing on Research and Development. The target group included the school administrators selected from 6 schools succeeding in implementing with parents and community, and being accepted, and teachers from The Office of Khon Kaen Educational Service Area, The Office of Kalasin Educational Service Area, and The Office of Nongbua-lampoo Educational Service Area, for 6 teachers and 12 teachers respectively, as well as 72 parent representatives of level 1-4 students during the first semester of 2008 school year. The instruments for collecting data included: 1) The Parents Questionnaire regarding to the parental enhancement in educational participation, 2) The Teacher and School Administrators Interview Form regarding to parental enhancement in educational participation, and 3) The Record of Expert input Form regarding to the model of parental enhancement in educational participation.
For the findings of the model of parental enhancement in educational participation, found that the overall of parents’ educational participation was in “High” level. Considering each item found that the strategies in creating awareness of participation were in “High” level. The second order included the strategies of planning, implementation of planning, investigation, and improvement , the strategies of information service and network development , and the strategies of conference and seminar attendance for sharing in learning respectively.
The model enhancing parents’ potentiality in educational participation consisted of the strategies of educational participation, the parental enhancement in educational participation, and the implementation between schools and parents through work process.
