   Project: Morality of Thai Children in Rural Villages of Different Developmental Situations
Objectives: This studyintended to investigate whether children in villages of three levels of development, high,moderate, and low showed different morality and need for achievement. It intended to find out whether variable had significance on children's morality and needs for achievement. It also investigated correlation of morality and need for achievement.
Samples: Three villages in thedistrict of khon kean province were chosen. Two villages were purposefully selecte to represent first and second ranks of development. The third vilages was randomized from under developed villages. Thus the third grade pupils in the selected schools were subjects of the study.
Instrments: Threeinstrument were used: 1)pictured test to ask about the sujects' favorable moral choices, 2)quizzes of Thai and arithmetics subjects to test the samples' honesty, 3)needs for achievement test the, adopted from Aronson's Graphic Expression test.
Analyses: Both non-parametric and parametric statistics were used to test significance of the independent variables, types of villages sex,on the samples' morality and need for achievment.
Findings: Children in villages of different developmental situations showed morality and needs for achievement significantly different. Sex had on significant effect on the dependent variables. children in thehighy developed village showed negative correlation between morality and needs for achievement while girls and children in the low developed village showed positive correlation.
