A Follow – Up Study of the Graduates of Khon Kaen University Faculty of nursing.

   The objective of this research was to provide a follow – up study of Khon Kaen University Faculty of Nursing graduates as regards to their abilities to put into practice what they have learned. Information was obtainedby means of a questionnaire which employed a rating scale to evaluate nursing performance. This questionnaire covered six topics relevant to the graduates’ nursing performance : knowledge and academic ability, special ability, nursing methods, personality, human relatinoships and profeesional attitude. Who questionnaire was given to both a sample group consisting of the Faculty of Nursing graduates now working as nurses and their administrators. 56.10 % of the nurses completed and returned the form, and 76.42 % of the administrators responded, In correlating and analyzing data obtained from the questinonair, the percentage distribution, Pearson’s Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation,
t – test and One way Analysis of Varience were employed as the method of analysis for testing significance differences at the five percent level of significance.

The results showed that :
1. Most of the graduates work in the Province and Kistrict Hospitals in the Northeast.
2. There was no relatinonship between the dministrators and the graduates inttheir rating of the graduates nursing performance at the level of 0.05
3. The administrators and the graduates were reasonably well satisfied wiith the graduates’ nursing performance.
4. There was no significantdifference among the graduates of different academic years in their rating of the graduates’ nursing performance at the level of 0.05
5. The administors were significantly more satisfied with the graduates’ nursing performance ratings of the graduates of academic of 1975 than the others ( 1974 , 1976 )
