ABSTRACT

The objective of this research was to study the effect of learning package by learning package with visual strategy on autistic social skill development in Thank You and Apologize of autistic students. The samples were 4 students, 10-12 years old, by Purposive Sampling. They were diagnosed from the physicians as autistic, studying at Khon Kaen Demonstration School (Modindang) during the first semester of 2007 school year. The research design was One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The duration of experiment was 4 weeks, 5 days a week. The instruments were: 1) the Learning Package with visual strategy on autistic social skill perception strategy through looking, and 2) social behavioral assessment scale. Data were analyzed by using basic statistic and describing information, and presented by Histogram.
The research findings were as follows:
1) For the post test, every autistic social skill in Thank You and Apologize was in higher level.
2) For the post test, the autistic students social skill in Thank You and Apologize were higher than the pretest.
