The Correlation Between Household Socioeconomics and Applying Sufficiency Economy of Rural Community’s Household, Northeastern Thailand

   The research aimed to study the correlation between household socioeconomics and a self-sufficiency economy of rural community’s households in Northeastern, Thailand. The research instrument was a questionnaire which was distributed to 400 samples from four target areas in Northeast Thailand. The descriptive method used to analyze the data was based on the commutative frequency for percentage, mean, and Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coefficient. The results showed that the socioeconomic factors on landuse, assets, and savings were related to a self-sufficiency economy, the results of these three factors were 0.280, 0.287, and 0.220 with a significance of 0.01, respectively. Besides, it was found that the households’ income factor, was related to a self-sufficiency economy at a value of 0.124 with a significance of 0.05. However, the households’ expenditure and the longer they studied, were not related to a self-sufficiency economy.
