   This research aimed at evaluating the Freshmen – Welcoming Ceremony Project in Khon Kaen University in the academic year of 2003.
The samples used for this research included people who participated in various sub 0 projects as follows:
1. Group Dynamic Sub – Project. Five hundred and twenty five people: freshmen senior students, students on the committee of this sub – project, professors and officers.
2. Chao – pao Mordindaeng Worshiping and the 40 th Kalapruke Flower Bunch Making Activity. Four hundred and forty nine people: Fre3shmen, senior students, students on the committee of this sub – project, professors and officers. 3. Coordinating Cheering Aclivites Among Different Faculties. Five hundred and twenty five people: freshmen and senior students, students on the committee of this sub – project, professors and officers.
The research instruments used were three sets of questionnaires. The data were analyzed by a SPSS/PC+ package for frequency, percentages and cross tabulation.
Findings.
1. Group Dynamic Sub – project.
1.1 There were more female students than male, 77.33 percent were freshmen from 16 faculties. These students were mainly from the Northeastern region 93.84%. 97.29% participated in the project voluntarily.
1.2 All groups of those sampled held the opinion that the activities were organized at a good level in every category, except in one category which was organized was at a fair level.
1.3 When asked about the suitability of : form, date, time, place for organizing activities and the worthiness of the outcome, 99.05% thought that it was suitable, except the place was hot and the budget spent was too high. The samples suggested that the activities should organized during the period of 26 – 30 May 2003.
1.4 participants felt that every activity accomplished its objective at a high level.

1.5 The best two points of these activities were getting to make new friends and good relationships among freshmen and senior students. The two points which should be improved were taste of food and locality; it was rather warm. The suggestions included change of locality for organizing activities and increase time for activities.
2. Chao – pao Mordindaeng Worshiping and Making a 40 th kalapruke Flower Bunch Activities.
2.1 There were more female students than male. There were 73.27% freshmen from 16 faculties including the Nonkhai branch of Khon Kaen University. These students sampled were mainly from the northeastern region 91.49%. 96.66% participated in the activity voluntarily and 0.30% said that they were forced to participate.
2.2 All groups of those sampled held the opinion that the activities were organized at good level in every category, except one category which was at fair level.
2.3 When asked about the suitability of : form date, time, and place of organizing activities and the worthiness of the outcome, 95.55% thought that they were suitable, except two day activities whose form was not worth while as some students did not participate.
2.4 Participants viewed that every activity accomplish its objective at high levels.
2.5 The best two points of these activities were feelings of : respect, luck and unity. The two problems which should be resolved were punctuality and scheduling. For example, spending too much time and walking too far. Next time more interesting activities should be added.
3. Coordinating Cheering Activities Among Different faculties.
3.1 There were more female students than male. 67.62% were freshmen from 16 faculties including the Nongkhai branch of Khon Kaen university. These students were mainly from the Northeastern region 92.11%. 90.14% participated in these activities voluntarily. Only 2.54% said that they were forced to participate.
3.2 All groups held the opinion that all categories of activities were organized at good level.
3.3 When asked about the suitability of the : form, place, date, duration and worthiness of activities, 89.14% thought that they were suitable. Unsuitable items were: the three day duration, organization should take place before the term started; emphasis on fun activities and spen ding too much money.
3.4 participants felt that every activity accomplished its objective at a high level.
3.5 The best points included establishing unity, caring for friends and the institution. Two problems which should be resolved were punctuality and the insufficient time spent for cheering. The suggestions included included increase time for sheering activity and keep on organizing the activity every year.
